Languages Other Than English (LOTE) resources are available online at the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) website. Curriculum that is offered to students from Prep to Year 10 is accompanied by a range of teaching and learning aids to ensure teachers and students maximise the opportunities for education.

Languages Online - a free multimedia resource for use in primary and secondary schools to complement the teaching of French, German, Indonesian and Italian. It includes games and other activities to reinforce learning.
Languages and Multicultural Resource Centre -teachers in all Victorian schools can borrow at no cost reference materials and journals, posters, culturally inclusive resources, materials in 40 languages and multimedia resources from the Languages and Multicultural Education Resource Centre.
Victorian School of Languages - a government school that complements the provision of languages other than English in mainstream schools by providing classes in approximately 44 languages, usually on Saturday mornings. It also offers distance education courses in approximately ten languages to secondary students who do not have access to language programs in their mainstream schools for reasons such as remoteness, medical disability and travel.
technoLOTE - technoLOTE is a site to support teachers of modern foreign languages, with the focus of integrating ICT into the language classroom.
Languages Kits (Word - 219Kb) - provide language-related activities for a number of locations such as the Royal Botanic Gardens (French, German, Indonesian) and Sovereign Hill Museum, Ballarat (Chinese). They include assessment tasks.
